It's already a few days into summer, and RESCON has some news to share with our members.
No, not the opening of the HOV or the Pan Am Games - the Durham Residential Construction Labour Bureau (DRCLB) has officially been accredited.
On June 16th, an official notice and accreditation certificate was released by the Ontario Labour Relations Board (OLRB). This accreditation will ensure a level playing field for all builders with respect to collective agreements in Durham Region.
This accreditation for DRCLB, first created in 2002, ensures a level playing field for all LIUNA Local 183 bound builders. It is also a fantastic opportunity for RESCON to showcase the value and services it provides which includes expertise in labour relations, technical standards, health and safety, training and education, and innovation.
After the DRCLB was accredited, the board of directors has approved the waiving of all membership fees for all three associations (MTABA, TRCLB and DRCLB) for any builder wishing to join between July 1st and Aug. 31st, 2015.

Meantime, enjoy this newsletter, all the best during the Pan Am Games (go Canada go!) and most of all, Happy Canada Day!
