for the residential construction industry.
If you didn't attend the University of Toronto BIM+ event, then you should read this excellent story by Don Procter of the Daily Commercial News.

The four-hour event was held at U of T's downtown campus, including Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister Steve Clark (shown above), municipal representatives from all over Ontario (and one from Finland), building officials, U of T engineers and the Toronto BIM community.

Things are changing quickly for the industry. The combination of BIM and e-permitting will transform the way we do business in Ontario when we see wide-spread implementation over time. More on BIM next month in our blog.

Elsewhere in the newsletter, my column in the Toronto Sun focuses on what Sidewalk Labs can do to transform the waterfront and the way we do business; RESCON VP Andrew Pariser is interviewed by the Toronto Star; and Novae Res Urbis talks to RESCON engineer Paul De Berardis about harmonizing the Ontario Building Code with the National Building Code.
